Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are

ChildKonnect is a product of Chirayu Tech Solutions Pvt. Ltd., registered in India. We provide school management software for private schools in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. If you have any questions about this policy, contact us at hello@childkonnect.com.

2. What Data We Collect

We collect only what is necessary to run the platform:

• School information — school name, address, district, principal details
• Staff information — teacher names, phone numbers, login credentials
• Student information — student name, class, roll number, date of joining, blood group, Aadhar number (encrypted), parent name and parent phone number
• Attendance records — daily attendance status per student
• Fee records — fee structure, payment history, outstanding amounts
• Academic records — marks entered by teachers, exam results
• WhatsApp delivery logs — records of messages sent to parents for audit purposes

3. How We Use Your Data

Your data is used only to provide the ChildKonnect service to your school:

• Sending attendance alerts, fee receipts and results to parents via WhatsApp
• Generating reports and dashboards for teachers and principals
• Sending automated fee reminders before due dates
• Customer support and troubleshooting

We do not use your data for advertising, marketing to third parties or any purpose beyond operating ChildKonnect for your school.

4. Aadhar Numbers

Aadhar numbers, if collected, are encrypted using AES-256 encryption before being stored. They are never transmitted in plain text and are never shared with any third party. You are not required to enter Aadhar numbers — this field is optional.

5. WhatsApp & Third-Party Services

ChildKonnect uses the following third-party services to deliver alerts:

• AiSensy — WhatsApp Business API platform. Messages are delivered through Meta's WhatsApp infrastructure. Parent phone numbers are shared with AiSensy solely for the purpose of delivering alerts.
• MSG91 — SMS delivery for schools that require it. Phone numbers are shared solely for SMS delivery.
• Supabase — secure cloud database hosted in the Singapore region (closest to India). All data is encrypted at rest and in transit.

We choose partners who operate under strict data protection standards. We do not permit any partner to use your data for any purpose other than delivering the specific service.

6. Data Storage & Security

• All data is stored on secure servers. Database access is restricted to authorised ChildKonnect systems only.
• Each school's data is completely isolated. No school can access another school's data under any circumstances.
• All data is transmitted over HTTPS (encrypted in transit).
• Passwords are hashed using BCrypt — we cannot see your password.
• Login accounts are protected against brute force attacks with automatic lockout after failed attempts.

7. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your school has an active subscription with ChildKonnect. If you cancel your subscription, we will retain your data for 90 days to allow you to export it, after which it is permanently deleted.

8. Your Rights

As a school administrator, you have the right to:

• Request a full export of your school's data at any time
• Request correction of any inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your school's data
• Know what data we hold about your school

9. Children's Data

ChildKonnect stores data about students who may be minors. This data is provided by the school and used only for school management purposes. We do not directly interact with students or collect data from them directly. All student data is managed by the school's principal and teachers.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify schools of any significant changes via email to the principal's registered address at least 14 days before the change takes effect.
